V is for Visability
Visibility is what we all rely on for our businesses to survive and thrive and last week was all about being visible.
Friday, I listened to Mark Hayward of Sway PR talking about how PR raises your profile and keeps you visible, we also put some finishing touches to our latest marketing materials which we know will raise our profile.
But obviously its all about networking for us at The Business Network South Manchester and Chester so it was great to meet up with The Chamber of Commerce in Chester to talk about collaboration which was followed by an event in Altrincham with The Federation of S,mall Businesses on one of the hottest days on record. Although several people backed out of coming it was an excellent meeting and a number of people now know a little more about our Business Network community.
As we gradually get back to normality it was a pleasure to be back in Manchester where the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce presented “Manchester A Destination For Business”. You never know who you are going to meet and to be honest most of the people I spoke to I knew but its good to re-connect and just simply catch up.
This was followed by the Manchester Curry Club where I met a fellow Edmondson who asked for an introduction to one of our members along with The Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce along with some other great businesses who were very interested in our plans for the Chester group.
Thursday evening was back to Alderley Park for our bi-monthly meeting with Bruntwood which was well attended despite we had been told the hot weather taking its toll with other networking meetings. Attended mostly by Business Network members, familiarity breeds referrals and recommendations as well as a sharing of knowledge and a great talk by our members from Think Hive.
So what are your suggestions for viability do they include Marketing, PR and of course networking?
